The public is invited to see “Art Show – 2019” at the Des Moines Art Center, featuring art work by Mary Ellen Kimball of Osceola and other adult art students who are studying with professional artists Linda Lewis, Kara Pick and Maggie Harlow-Vogt.
Five of Kimball’s pieces are hand built stoneware ceramic:
“Turquoise Tureen”, “Nomad’s Sidekick”, “Textured Platter”, “Kaleidoscope” and a 7-piece totem pole titled ”Favorite Things”.
The exhibit is free to the public and is open until October 25 in the Adrienne and Charles Herbert Gallery at the Des Moines Art Center, 4700 Grand Ave. in Des Moines.
Guests may enter through the Education Wing entrance Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Closing Reception is October 24 from 5-7 p.m. Guests wiil be given a docent-led tour of the museum at 5:30 p.m. that will last approximately 30 minutes.
