Clarke’s Will Smith made his commitment to Iowa Wesleyan official last Wednesday, signing his letter of intent with the Tigers.
Since his freshman season in 2017, Smith as been a mainstay in the lineup. Smith has started 63 of the 64 games he has appeared in throughout his first three seasons for the Indians.
In a COVID-shortened season as a junior, he started all 13 games behind the plate. He hit .256 with seven RBIs, finishing second the team in RBIs and hits (10).

Throughout his career, Smith is a .204 hitter, driving in 19 runs, recording 38 hits and tallying one home run.
He will join Iowa Wesleyan after the summer of his senior season. The Tigers will begin their season March 19 with Greenville University.
Since Smith’s freshman season at Clarke, Iowa Wesleyan is 16-68-1. Last season, the Tigers played in six games due to COVID canceling the season prematurely.
