No citations were issued following an accident at 115 South Jackson Street on May 12.
According to an Osceola police report, Susan Dickens of Osceola was driving a 2011 Mini Cooper into a parking spot outside of her apartment located at 115 South Jackson Street. As Dickens pulled into a spot, the floor mat got stuck under the gas pedal, causing Dickens to accelerate over the curb and strike the building. The impact caused significant damage to apartments 11 and 12.
Damage is estimated at $1,000 to the 2011 Mini and $20,000 to the building.
