No citations were issued after an accident 4 a.m. Aug. 4 on West Clay Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Matthew Thomas James Davis, 28, of Lake Mills, driving a 2020 Freightliner semi truck and trailer backed into a legally parked 2014 Freightliner semi truck and trailer.

Estimated damage was $300 to the 2014 Freightliner semi truck and trailer.

Teresa Torres, 55, of Osceola, was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability after an accident 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dollar General parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report, Torres, driving a 2007 Hyundai, and Jerry Dean Gage, 74, of Osceola, driving a 2018 Chevrolet were both backing out of their adjacent spaces and didn’t see one another.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to Gage’s vehicle and $2,500 to Torres’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 12:46 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of East Ayers Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, an unknown vehicle driving westbound on East Ayers Street approached four mailboxes in the center of the block on the north side of the street, veered off the north side of the road, hit the curb and then struck four mailboxes causing damage to all of them.

Estimated damage was $50 to Leanna Barvinek’s mailbox, $50 to Claudia Ventura’s mailbox, $75 to Nancy Carmichael’s mailbox and $150 to Jerald Yonker’s mailbox.

No citations were issued after an accident 12:05 a.m. Saturday behind Iron Horse.

According to an Osceola Police report, Cassedy LeeAnne Smith, 27, of Chariton, driving a 2014 GMC pulled out of her parking spot but turned too soon and too sharply causing her to make contact with a legally parked 2008 Chevrolet.

Estimated damage was $1,600 to the 2008 Chevrolet and $50 to Smith’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:06 p.m. Saturday on North Jackson Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Juan Luis Echeverria, 20, of Osceola, driving a 2011 Ford truck began to pull forward from the stop sign at the intersection of North Jackson Street and West Clay Street. After pulling into the intersection he realized he needed to make a left turn onto West Clay Street so he began to back up in order to make the turn but struck Rachel Ann Wright as she pulled up to the stop sign when Echeverria had been pulling forward.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to Wright’s vehicle.
