Christopher Joseph Roberts, 47, of South F Street Oskaloosa, was charged with attempted third degree vehicle burglary 4:22 p.m. July 27 at the Evergreen Hotel.

According to an Osceola Police report, Roberts was seen on video at KFC in Osceola attempting to open a vehicle door after the person went inside the restaurant but was unable to enter.

Bond was set at $2,000.

Jennifer Lane Miller, 34, of Oakwood Street Murray, was charged with domestic assault- bodily injury 4:52 p.m. Friday at Clarke County Hospital.

According to an Osceola Police report, Miller and the victim were in an argument in their bathroom when Miller grabbed the victim’s hair and punched her in the mouth. When the victim put her hand up in defense Miller bit her hand and her breast, knocked her glasses off and stomped on them. The victim was then punched in the face repeatedly and Miller threatened the victim and the victim’s sister.

Bond was set at $1,000.

Cory Wayne McKinney, 47, of Park Avenue Lorimor, was charged with driving while barred 11:50 p.m. Friday at the Osceola Police Department.

According to an Osceola Police report, McKinney was observed leaving Pilot and entering a Dodge Caravan. McKinney then drove onto Clay Street and to the Casino until a traffic stop was conducted where a driver license check was run shoeing that McKinney’s license is barred in Iowa until October 21.

Jordan Rae Cook, 23, of East Vine Street, was charged with child endangerment- no injury, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance third offense 11:30 p.m. Monday at the Osceola Police Department.

According to an Osceola Police report, a Casey’s General Store employee stated that they found the child running down the road yelling. As officers were responding to Casey’s they were also dispatched to the 200 block of East Vine Street for another unattended small child that was located by neighbors. When officers arrived at Casey’s it was discovered that the two calls were related and the children were siblings. Officers took the child from Casey’s to the location in the 200 block of East Vine. It was then discovered that the children belonged at 222 E. Vine. The children, aged 5 and 3, live at this address with their aunt Jordan Cook who has legal guardianship of them. The five year old child opened the front door of the residence and officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the residence. As officers checked the residence to see if there was an adult present they saw a marijuana bong and plastic bag that appeared to contain marijuana on the bedroom floor. It was later discovered that Cook had left the two juvenile males alone while she went to her boyfriend’s place. The children were left along for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The defendant also admitted to smoking marijuana in the residence with the children present.

Bond was set at $300.

Jennifer Lane Miller, 34, of Oakwood Street Murray, was charged with violation no contact order- domestic 5:34 a.m. Tuesday at the Osceola Police Department.

According to an Osceola Police report, Miller knowingly was in the same residence as the protected party in a valid no contact order.

Bond was set at $500.

Bradley Thomas, of Osceola, reported business vandalism and theft from a building 8:25 a.m. Monday at 202 S. Main St.
