Twyla Coenen

Twyla Jean Coenen, daughter of William Hammons and Irene (Colmer) Hammons was born March 8, 1948 in Vallejo, California and passed from this life Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 73 years of age.

Jeanie has lived her life in Osceola, she attended Osceola Schools. She was united in marriage to Raymond Edward Coenen on September 6, 1971 in Osceola, Iowa. Jeanie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and always enjoyed having family together.

Jeanie worked at Furnas and Siemens for over 25 years. She enjoyed people and was always on the go, shopping, garage sales, Goodwill and going to WalMart. She enjoyed flowers, cats and butterflies. She will be missed by her loving family and many many friends.

Those relatives who preceded Jeanie in death were her son, Jody Ray Coenen, and parents, William and Irene Hammons.

Twyla leaves to cherish her memory; loving husband, Raymond Coenen of Osceola, IA, son, Justin (Misty) Coenen of Osceola, IA, daughter-in-law, Michaela Rae Coenen of Osceola, IA, grandsons, Noah Coenen of Osceola, Iowa, and Corbin Coenen of Deleware, sister, Vera (Randy) Dunbar of Osceola, IA, sister, Loura Lee Hammons of Norwalk, IA, sister, Alice Piercy of Osceola, IA, sister, Judy Martz of Osceola, IA, daughter from a previous marriage, Tonya, step-children, Raymond & Tammy as well as other relatives and many friends.

Family will celebrate her life from 4:00 to 6:00 Saturday afternoon at Kale Funeral home in Osceola, Iowa.

Cremation was entrusted to Kale Funeral Home and interment of her cremains will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided at a later date.
