New at the Osceola Independence Day celebrations is the Pet Parade

Mayberry’s Pet Parade, sponsored by Mayberry’s Coffee House and Eatery is the brand new event that will take place July 1 on the bandstand.

The free sign up is at 5:30 p.m. and the contest is at 6 p.m.

Categories include:

• best trick

• best personality

• looks most like owner

• best dressed

• most unusual

There is no age limit and the owners may enter their pets into multiple categories. There will be one winner per category with prizes for both the owner and the pet. All pets are welcome but must be contained or on a leash. A parade of all the pets will follow the contest.
