According to an Osceola Police report, Douglas Roy Huntington, 60, of Afton, driving a 2001 Toyota fell asleep behind the wheel and woke up veering left on the roadway. When Huntington attempted to turn back into his original lane he over-steered and began to fish-tail uncontrollably causing him to drive off the interstate and into the ditch on the west side and roll the vehicle.
Estimated damage was $15,000 to Huntington’s vehicle.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Rhonda Kay Hypes, 65, of Indianola, driving a 2006 Dodge was traveling north on Highway 69 when a deer entered the roadway which she was unable to avoid in a safe manner.

According to an Osceola Police report, Kimberly Kaye Shear, 44, of Osceola, driving a 2006 Ford was headed west in the 600 blk of West McLane Street when a deer ran out and Shear hit the deer with the left front side of her vehicle.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Matthew Alden Besch, 30, of Weldon, driving a 2015 Nissan was traveling west on Garst Street when a deer entered the roadway. Besch drove on the edge of the gravel road and into the ditch on the north side of the road, regained controlled but came to rest in the south ditch.
Estimated damage was $3,000 to Besch’s vehicle.
