Cardinal girls make all-conference

Riley Bell, Alaina Applegate and Halle Hamilton of Central Decatur cracked the first-team, second-team and honorable mention for the Pride of Iowa last week.

First team

Bell led the Cardinals in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per game, sixth in the conference. She shot 38.9% from the 3-point line, second in the conference with more than 25 attempts. Bell also shot 50.4% from the field, fourth in the conference.

Bell blocked 47 shots and grabbed 213 total rebounds, both third in the conference.

Second team

Applegate averaged 11.9 points per game, 12th in the conference, and scored 273 points. She shot 45.4% from the field.

Applegate recorded 57 assists, 43 steals and 37 blocks, fourth in the conference.

Honorable Mention

Hamilton averaged 6.1 points per game, scoring 140 points on the season. Hamilton recorded 53 assists and 35 steals. She also grabbed 47 rebounds.
