The next Osceola Community Make a Difference Day is Saturday, Feb. 29. This day is to build up the stores at the local food pantries including Clarke County Food Pantry, Clarke Schools Food and Clothing Pantry and the Full Gospel Church Community Food Pantry.
Individuals can bring donations to Fareway between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 29. To make a fun day of the event there is a team option in which teams of between 2-5 people will be assigned an area to go door-to-door and collect items. Teams may start their door knocking early to add to their collections and there will be awards for the most successful teams. Collection area maps will be available for teams to pick up and frop off their collected donations at Fareway between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 29.
Needed items include canned food of all kinds, boxed foods, bagged foods, cleaning products, toiletries, paper products, first aid products and miscellaneous items that are useful around the house.
