Leslie Rubendall

Leslie Melvin Rubendall, son of Forrest Melvin Rubendall and Iola Lola (Waters) Rubendall was born November 12, 1936 in Sac City, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 83 years of age.

Les grew up in the Sac City, Iowa area.  Les served in the U.S. Air Force from August of 1954 until being honorably discharged in November of 1958.  Les moved to the Woodburn area in 1964.  He enjoyed farming and raising horses.  Les worked as a truck mechanic for UPS for 27 years.  He was united in marriage to Helen Lopez n July 24, 2015 in Osceola, Iowa.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed going fishing when he could.  Les will be missed by his family and many friends.

Those relatives who preceded Les in death were his parents, Forrest and Iola and his brother, Melvin Rubendall.

Les leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Helen Rubendall of Woodburn, IA, son, Bryan  (Cindy) Rubendall of Woodburn, IA, daughter, Brenda Masses of Noel, AR, son, Bart Rubendall of Des Moines, IA, son, Boyd Rubendall of Arkansas, step-son, Brian Rubendall, step-son, Scott Henry, step-son, Jeremy Henry, several grandkids and great grandkids, brother, Dale Rubendall,  sister, Rita Rubendall, sister, Jan Brewer, sister, Kay (Denny) McCloney as well as other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Services will be held at Ottawa Cemetery, Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shane Simpson officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided later.
