Scott McBroom

Scott Allen McBroom, son of Donald Carl McBroom and Betty Lou (Allen) McBroom, was born June 6, 1955, in Hampton. He passed from this life Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at his home in Osceola at 54 years of age.

Scott grew up in Arizona and joined the U.S. Navy in 1973. He served from 1973 until 1981, serving in Viet Nam. He met Jennifer Kathryn LaFromboise in Ridgecrest, Calif. while serving in the Navy. They were united in marriage on July 31, 1980, in Ridgecrest. They lived there for 17 years before moving to Osceola 13 years ago. Scott worked construction and as a hydraulic mechanic along with other related jobs in the construction field.

Military graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at the Metier Cemetery in Decatur County. Memorials may be directed to his family.
