Murray football 3-2 after Friday loss

Murray football’s season is now at 3-2 after a 40-36 loss to Mormon Trail on Sept. 16.

Quarterback Caden Page had eight of 16 successful passing attempts, for a 50% passing completion percentage.

Page also led with rushing attempts, totaling 20 of 53. Zack Belden had 14 rushing attempts, Jared Frederick nine, Kendrick Mastin eight, and Kace Patton and Titus Barber had one each. There were 225 rushing yards.

Defensively, the team had 42 tackles, with Belden and Gauge Mongar having seven solo tackles each. The Mustangs were able to get 6.0 total tackles for loss on plays.

Their next game is Friday, Sept. 23, Homecoming, against Martensdale-St Marys (1-3) with kickoff at 7 p.m.
