No citations were issues following an accident on Interstate 35 north on Feb. 21.
According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Stephen Mitchell of Hemet, California was headed north on Interstate 35 in a 2020 Kenworth Construction T6 when he lost control when adjusting a device within the semi. Mitchell left the roadway on the right side, and entered the ditch, hitting a wire fence.
Damage amounts to the 2020 Kenworth and the fence are unknown.

Two drivers were issued citations following a Feb. 25 accident in the 1400 block of Truro Pavement.
According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Levi Sandquist of Osceola was traveling southbound on Truro Pavement in a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. As Sandquist was traveling in the 1400 block of Truro Pavement, David Blair of Winterset was backing out of a driveway in a 1994 Chevrolet GMT-400 tow truck, and backed into Sundquist’s passenger side.
Blair was cited with failure to yield upon entering a highway, and Sandquist was cited for operating without a registration plate.
Damage is estimated at $2,000 to the 2000 Chevrolet, and $1.00 to the 1994 Chevrolet.
