Jan. 19 accident reports

No citations were issued following an accident in the Pilot Travel Center truck parking, 2010 W Clay Street, on Jan. 11.

According to an Osceola police report, the driver of a 2023 tractor trailer awoke to find damage to front left side of his semi truck. There are no cameras in the Pilot parking lot to identify what had happened; a hit and run report was filled out.

Damage is estimated at $1,800 to the 2023 tractor trailer.

No citations were issued following an accident in the HyVee Parking lot, 510 W McLane, on Jan. 13.

According to an Osceola police report, Jeffrey Davis of Osceola was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee north between two parking stalls. Amanda Jarnagin, Osceola, was backing a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox out of a space, and did not see Davis, backing into him.

Damage is estimated at $1,200 to the 2014 Jeep and $0 to the 2018 Equinox.

A citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability was issued following a traffic accident on Jan. 13 at the intersection of McLane Street and Warren Avenue.

According to an Osceola police report, Eric Couchman of Humeston was traveling west on McLane Street and had a green light to proceed straight in a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. A 1996 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Dwyonna Williamson of Osceola was attempting to turn left from East McLane onto Warren Avenue; Williamson told officers that she had a green arrow. It was upon the turn that Couchman hit the passenger side of Williamson’s vehicle.

Both parties complained of injuries but were not transported to the hospital.

Damage is estimated at $3,000 to the 2016 Chevrolet and $1,500 to the 1996 Chevrolet; Williamson was additionally cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability.
