Nov. 10 accident reports

No citations were issued following an accident on Oct. 31 in the 1300 block of S Main Street.

According to an Osceola police report, Jeffrey Wash of Chamberlain, SD, was attempting to pull a 2001 Peterbilt tractor trailer into a driveway on the west side of South Main Street to turn around. Wash’s trailer cut the corner too sharp, and went into the ditch causing the trailer to become high centered. A plastic culvert opening in the ditch was damaged. The trailer was able to be pulled out by a tow truck.

Damage is estimated at $500 to the plastic culvert, and unknown damage amounts to the underside of the trailer.

No citations were issued following an accident on Nov. 3 in the Pilot Travel Center truck parking lot, 2010 W Clay Street.

According to an Osceola police report, Ashley Thompson of Okolona, MS, was attempting to back a 2022 International semi into a parking stall when she struck the side of a legally parked 2014 International semi, damaging a mirror and door handle.

Damage is estimated at $1 to the 2022 International and $2,500 to the 2014 International.
