Joshua Eslick of Osceola was cited for driving under suspension following an accident on Oct. 2 at the intersection of Warren Avenue and West McLane.
According to an Osceola police report, Jasmine Santana of Des Moines, driving a 2013 FOrd Edge, was traveling east on Hwy 34/McLane Street; Santana told the responding officer that she had a green light. Eslick, driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, was attempting to turn left onto Warren Ave when the front of his vehicle struck the front of Santana’s; Eslick told the responding officer that he had a green arrow.
Damage is estimated at $3,000 to the 2013 Ford and $1,500 to the 2020 Chevrolet.
Jesse White of Grand River was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and no proof of insurance after an accident on Oct. 3 on East Ayers Street.
According to an Osceola police report, White told officers that a male was standing in front of his vehicle, a 2004 Ford Mustang, threatening him. White backed away around a truck onto the wrong side of the road. After backing, White stated that a 2010 Mazda MS3 driven by Teresa Sheehan of OSceola pulled out of the parking lot of the apartments and sped past to block him in to keep him from leaving. White hit Sheehan when Sheehan pulled in front of him. White left and went to a Casey’s parking lot where there were lights and security cameras.
Sheehan told officers that White backed away from the person standing in front of him, down the street; Sheehan said that she was parked on the wrong side of the road when White backed into her vehicle before leaving the scene.
Damage is estimated at $2,000 to the 2010 Mazda and $1,000 to the 2004 Ford.
No citations were issued after an accident on Oct. 4 in the Fareway parking lot.
According to an Osceola police report, Ashley Mongar of Leon drove a 2021 Ford Elkhart Ford van into the parking lot from East Cass to the front door to pick up a rider. Mongar stated that she was stopped in the drive aisle to wait for the rider. MIchael Boldon, Osceola in a 2005 Buick Park Avenue, had seen Mongar come towards him from the south, but did not realize that she had stopped, and backed into the Ford.
Damage is estimated at $500 to the 2021 Ford, and $500 to the 2005 BUick.
No citations were issued after an accident on Truro Pavement on OCt. 5.
According to an Osceola police report, Jamee Williams of Osceola, was driving a 2019 Ford Escape west/northwest on Truro Pavement when a deer ran in front of her vehicle. Williams struck the deer, sustaining damage to the front and passenger side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Damage is estimated at $3,000.
No citations were issued after an accident at 202 S Main Street on Oct. 7.
According to an Osceola police report, the driver of a 2011 GMC Yukon parked behind a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Pamela Richardson of Osceola. THe driver of the GMC did not utilize a parking space and exited their vehicle to go pay for their food. Richardson returned to her vehicle and began to back out, striking the GMC in the driver side front fender with her driver side rear fender.
Damage is estimated at $500 to the 2003 Ford, and $500 to the 2011 GMC.

According to an Osceola police report, Judy Kjellsen of Osceola, in a 2015 Nissan Rogue, was traveling east and slowed for the lights. Caleb Shelton of Garden Grove, in a 2004 Chevrolet pickup was behind Kjellsen, and did not slow or stop in time, striking the rear of Kjellsen’s vehicle.
Damage is estimated at $1,000 to the 2015 Nissan and $2,500 to the 2004 Chevrolet.
