No citations were issued after an accident 3:20 a.m. June 1 on Interstate 35.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Laurie Helen Romero, 60, of Osceola, driving a 2009 Honda northbound at the 35 milemarker struck a deer that entered the roadway.

Estimated damage was $2,000.

No citations were issued after an accident 10:10 a.m. June 3 in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 69.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Matthew Aaron Townsend, 33, of Truro, driving a 2013 RAM was southbound on Highway 69 followed by Paul Douglas Owens, 63, of Van Wert, driving a 1992 Ford. When Townsend slowed his vehicle due to a possible hazard he was rear ended by Owens’ vehicle.

Estimated damage was $1,500 to Townsend’s vehicle and $100 to Owens’ vehicle.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Shawn Steven Hanke Jr., 41, of Des Moines, driving a 2005 Ford, was northbound when his front steer tire on the vehicle popped and caused his to lose control of the truck. He was unable to keep the truck on the roadway and struck a cable barrier.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to the State of Iowa’s cable barrier and $5,000 to Hanke’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 9:55 p.m. June 11 in the 1100 block of West Clay Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Joy Jacqueline Durham, 48, of Woodburn, driving a 2009 Chevrolet was westbound on Clay street when a deer entered the roadway.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to Durham’s vehicle.

Tracy allen Simmerman, 61, of Murray, was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability after an accident 10 p.m. June 11 at the intersection of 140th Avenue and Hoover Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Jacqueline Kaye Wardrobe, 86, of Parnell, MO, driving a 2014 Jeep north on 140th Avenue approached Simmerman, headed south, on the crest of a hill and stated that only one of Simmerman’s headlights were working so it was difficult to tell how far over she needed to be. The vehicle’s collided in the front corners.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to Warbrobe’s vehicle and $3,400 to Simmerman’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 12 a.m. June 15 on Truro Pavement.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Thomas Lee McCormick, 48, of Abilene, KS, driving a 2019 Peterbuilt semi was eastbound on Highway 152 when a deer ran into the roadway. While attempting to avoid the deer he swerved the truck and went into the ditch on the south side of the road. The trailer landed on it’s side but the truck stayed upright.

Estimated damage was $30,000 to McCormick’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 1:38 p.m. June 17 on 195 Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Bailey Nicole Frederick, 19, of Osceola, driving a 1986 Chevrolet northbound in the 1400 lock of 195th ave. took a curve then the back of the truck began to fishtale and slide of the road to the east, roll down the ditch and ended up on its top.

Estimated damage was $4,000 to Frederick’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:10 p.m. Saturday in the Wal Mart parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report, Cindy Kay Reed, 62, of Naples, FL, driving a 2019 Ford, was backing out of her parking spot watching for the pedestrians and didn’t see the 2008 Chevrolet parked in the stall behind her until she struck it.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to the legally parked 2008 Chevrolet and $3,500 to Reed’s vehicle.
