In March the Osceola Volunteer Fire Department responded to five brush fires, two were mutual aid to New Virginia and one was mutual aid to Murray. OVFD responded to two alarm calls, two good intent calls, one of which was mutual aid to New Virginia. They responded to one vehicle fire, three structure fires and one grass fire. EMS had nine calls for service.
EMS was serving for 18 hours in March. The OVFD spent 39 hours on monthly maintenance, 224 hours on training, 8 hours on officer meetings and 37.5 hours on miscellaneous station work. Total OVFD training, maintenance and education hours was 308.5. All hours total was 490.5 hours for the month of March.
