Accidents


No citations were issued after an accident 9:45 p.m. March 15 at Pilot Travel Center.

According to an Osceola Police report, Kyle Richard Rose, 32, of Leavenworth, KS, driving a 2020 International semi, was attempting to leave the parking lot when he struck and pushed a 2007 Peterbuilt about a foot from its original parking spot.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to the 2007 Peterbuilt.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:55 a.m. March 17 on West Clay Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Eric Chi Ndita, 53, of Maple Grove, MN, driving a 2020 Ford, was pulling into a parking spot at Pilot Travel Center, reached down to touch his pant leg and the vehicle drove over the curb stop and struck the building.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to Pilot Travel Center and $2,500 to Ndita’s vehicle.

According to an Osceola Police report, Danny Lewis Brooks, 52, of Yuma, AZ, driving a 2020 Freightliner, was lining up to back into a parking stall and scraped the side of the neighboring trailer, an unoccupied 2020 Peterbuilt.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to the unoccupied 2020 Peterbuilt and $300 to Brooks’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 11:13 p.m. March 22 at 2010 W. Clay St.

According to an Osceola Police report, Frederick Bertwin Brown, 24, of Metairie, LA, driving a 2020 Volvo semi, was attempting to back into a parking stall at Pilot Travel Center when he struck the mirror of the neighboring unoccupied 2017 Kenworth.

Estimated damage was $500 to the unoccupied 2017 Kenworth.

Brandi Lorraine Ridley, 34, of Osceola, was cited for failure to yield entering through highway after an accident 4:47 p.m. March 23 on Highway 34.

According to an Osceola Police report, Timothy Levi Milledge, 42, of Chariton, driving a 2005 Toyota, was eastbound on Highway 34 when Ridley, driving a 2018 Dodge, pulled out in front of him at the Interstate 35 Exit 33 offramp. Milledge swerved left in an attempt to avoid a collision but was unsuccessful.

Jeanette Marie Robinson, 56, of Osceola, was transported to Clarke County Hospital with a possible injury.

Estimated damage was $10,000 to Milledge’s vehicle and $7,500 to Ridley’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 11:55 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lacelle Road and Highway 34.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Melissa Diane England, 38, of Lenox, driving a 2011 Chevy, pulled onto Lacelle Road and was struck by Tisha Diane Gannon, 44, of Osceola, driving a 2006 Ford, as England was in the path of Gannon’s turn.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to England’s vehicle and $6,000 to Gannon’s vehicle.
