Ralph Stevens

Ralph Todd Stevens, son of Delbert Virden Stevens and LeeOra Ellen Todd Stevens was born September 4, 1958 in Mt Ayr, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, August 2, 2021 at his home in rural Weldon, Iowa at 62 years of age.

Ralph received his education in Albany, Missouri and graduated from Eagleville High School in Eagleville, Missouri. While in High School, he attended trade school and received his certification as a mechanic.

He was united in marriage to Diana Ruth Findley on April 17, 1981 at Denver, Missouri and two children, Aaron and Emily blessed this union.

Ralph began working at FC Grace Furniture. He later began working at Longworth John Deere Implement where he remained for nearly eleven years, working his way to become the shop manager. In 1989, Ralph and his family moved to Osceola, Iowa and he began working at the Meat Department at Hy-Vee and has been there for nearly 32 years.

Over the years, Ralph has continued his talent of being a mechanic by helping many friends and neighbors with repairs and projects. He was an avid bow hunter and was a member of the Barnyard Bowbenders and Pheasants Forever. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed yard work and lawn care and was very particular about his yard.

Ralph loved God and his family and his church family. He enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with everyone and could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere.

Relatives who preceded Ralph in death were his parents; father-in-law, Bob Findley, sister, Becky Findley, sister, Penny Collier, sisters-in-law, Betty Sherer and Connie Findley, brother-in-law, Brad Sherer, grandparents, Virden and Elizabeth Stevens, grandmother, Mamie Sweeney and grandfather, Ralph Todd.

Ralph leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Diana Stevens of Weldon, IA, son, Aaron Stevens of Waukee, IA; daughter, Emily Stevens (Chris Hendrickson) of Weldon, IA, grandchildren, Cayden Anderson and Findley Hendrickson; sister, Barb (Del) Skroh of Osceola, IA, brother, Delbert Stevens, Jr. of Allendale, MO; mother-in-law, Donna Findley of Albany, MO; brothers-in-law, Robert Findley of Burlington, MO, Charles (Nancy) Findley of Gentry, MO, brother-in-law, Donald “Pete” (Cora) Findley of Albany, MO, sister-in-law, Peggy (Larry) Richardson of Albany, MO as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home, Thursday August 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Sheldon Lorenson officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.
