Joshua Raymond Brown, son of Raymond True Brown and Vickie Lee McGee Brown was born December 23, 1975 in California and passed from this life, Monday, July 26, 2021 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines at 45 years of age.
Josh received his education in Osceola, Iowa where he graduated from Clarke Community Schools in 1994. Soon after graduating, Josh served his country with the United States Navy on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and attained the rank of Seaman Signalman. Upon his return from his military service, Josh attended Southwestern Community College and attained his Associate of Arts Degree in Computer Science.
Josh spent a number of years working security at Osceola Foods and had most recently worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Chariton.
Josh was also a firefighter and served his community with the Woodburn Volunteer Fire Department. Josh was a race fan and enjoyed the Sprint Car Races in Knoxville over the years. But most of all, Josh liked to be with family and he especially loved spending time with his boys, Ardin and Bryan.
Those relatives who preceded Josh in death were his father, Raymond True Brown, grandmother, Gloria Jeanette Pierce and grandfather, Glen Albert Ewing.
Josh leaves to cherish his memory; mother, Vickie Lee Brown of Woodburn, IA, sister, Tafi Brown (fiancé, Jon Metheny) of Lewis, IA, son, Ardin Brown of Russell, IA, son, Bryan Brown of Russell, IA, girlfriend, Hanne Pinard of Osceola, IA, niece, Shyanne Brown of Lewis, IA, nephew, Cooper Brown of Woodburn, IA, nephew, Tucker Brown of Bogard, MO, uncle, Mel (Daryl Steen) Brown of North Carolina, uncle, John Van Dorn of Pennsylvania, aunt, Janet (Denny) Neindorf of Indianapolis, IN, aunt, Shirley Exline of Iowa, aunt, Christy (Gavin) Rogers of Wichita, KS, aunt, Becky (Doug) Murphy of Gresham, OR, aunt, Teri (John) Collins of Hays, KS, uncle, Ricky Kirkham, Sr. of Indio, CA as well as many cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday August 3, 2021 at 10:30 am with Pastor Willa Heaberlin officiating.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, August 2, 2021 at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Woodburn Cemetery.
