Robin J McMurphy, son of Bobby Dale McMurphy and Betty Roberta (Beaman) McMurphy was born May 3, 1957 in Atlantic, Iowa  and died Monday, October 26, 2020 at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa at 63 years of age.

Robin grew up in Atlantic and moved with his family to Leon.  He graduated from Central Decatur High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1981.  He was honorably discharged and returned to the Leon area.  Robin worked different jobs through out his life.  He was most proud of his many years as an over the road truck driver and driving over a million miles plus. Robin also worked several years for Hormel in Osceola.

Robin lived in Iowa, Nebraska and Arizona before returning to Iowa 14 years ago.  He was united in marriage to Teresa Lynn Rochier on January 12, 1985 at Leon, IA.

Robin really enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed turkey hunting and deer hunting.  Robin’s greatest accomplishment in hunting was placing 2nd. in the 2019 Big Buck Classic in Iowa.   He enjoyed working on cars and trucks with his son Paul and was kind of a perfectionist.  Robin was always good for a laugh, her enjoyed life and liked seeing everyone having a good time.

Those relatives who preceded Robin in death were his wife, Teresa McMurphy, and parents, Bobby and Betty Roberta McMurphy. Robin leaves to cherish his memory; son, Paul (Michelle) McMurphy of Waseca, MN, son, Jon Davis of AZ, son, Bill Ward of NE, son, Terrance Ward of KS, 8 grandchildren, sister, Jackie (Tim) Ericson of Garden Grove, IA, sister, Linda (Bill) Keebler of Kansas, nieces, Jodie and Jessica Ericson as well as other relatives and many friends.

Family will greet with friends Wednesday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00  November 4, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation please follow social distancing guidelines.  The use of face coverings are REQUIRED. Interment of his cremains will be in the Hopeville Cemetery at a later date.
