The “Death Tax” that we hear so much about? On a joint return this estate tax only applies if you and your spouse have that $25 million dollars to leave to your lucky heirs. And takes only a small percentage of your estate after your death and after the “first $25 million”.

It does seem to me that if living and working in the United States has enabled you to amass so much wealth- you might be willing to put a little in the pot to help the rest of us pay for the roads that you took to market, the schools your children attend, the police and army that kept you safe, and the governmental structure that holds it all together.

However, you and those who will inherit from you presently get to keep the first $25 million. Sounds like to deal to me.
