Clarke 3, Des Moines Christian 2
OSCEOLA – Clarke knocked off Des Moines Christian 3-2 at home Monday.
The Lady Indians fell behind in the fourth inning 1-0. The Lions added another in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead. Clarke responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the win.
Emma Bolton pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run and struck out 14. Shayla Hembry tallied two hits and one RBI.
Central Decatur 5, Interstate 35 2
TRURO – Central Decatur picked up a 5-2 win over Interstate 35 Monday.
The Cardinals scored one in the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead. Central Decatur added three more in the fifth before the Roadrunners scored two in the sixth.
Kylee Rockhold pitched seven innings, striking out 11 and allowing two earned runs.
Murray 14, Moulton-Udell 1
MOULTON – Murray mercy-ruled Moulton Udell 14-1 in five innings Friday.
The Lady Mustangs jumped out with two runs in the first, four in the second and two in the third. A six-run fifth inning did the Eagles in.
Teryn Shields pitched five innings, striking out four and allowing one earned run. She also drove in three runs on two hits. Emma Decker and Bailey Frederick each drove in two runs.
Murray 14, Mormon Trail 2
MURRAY – Murray mercy-ruled Mormon Trail 14-2 in three innings Thursday.
The Lady Mustangs put up three runs in the second inning before blowing the game open with an 11-run third inning, ending the game early.
Frederick pitched all three innings, striking out four without allowing an earned run and drove in two runs on two hits.
Clarke 7, EBF 4
EDDYVILLE – Clarke knocked off Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 7-4 in eight innings Thursday.
The Lady Indians took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. EBF responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth with four runs after Clarke scored two in the top of the inning. The Lady Indians edged out the Rockets in the eighth inning, scoring three runs.
Sadie Marker and Bolton drove in three runs each. Bolton and Nicole Barnard had three base hits each.
East Union 4, Central Decatur 2
AFTON – East Union knocked off Central Decatur in a low scoring 4-2 game Thursday.
The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the second inning before East Union scratched three runs across in the bottom of the third. Central Decatur scored one in the fourth, but East Union matched it with one of its own in the fifth.
Rockhold and Alaina Applegate each had two hits. Applegate drove in the two Cardinal runs.
Martensdale-St Marys 3, Central Decatur 2
LEON – Central Decatur fell to Martensdale-St Marys 3-2 Tuesday.
The Blue Devils broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the fourth inning. Central Decatur added two in the sixth inning, but ti wasn't enough to complete a comeback.
Six Cardinals tallied one hit. Carleigh O'Dell tallied the only RBI for Central Decatur.
Central Decatur 20, Mormon Trail 2
GARDEN GROVE – Central Decatur rolled through Mormon Trail 20-2 in three innings Monday, June 29.
The Cardinals scored eight in the first inning, added three in the second and nine in the third to end things early.
O'Dell drove in four runs on two hits. Eily Hall recorded two RBIs on three hits, two doubles.
Moravia 16, Murray 6 (6)
MORAVIA – Murray fell in six innings to Moravia 16-6 Tuesday.
Murray allowed six in the first and three in the second and third innings, trailing 12-4 before holding Moravia scoreless in the fourth. The Mohawks added on in the fifth and sixth, extending the score to 16-6.
Murray had a two-hit night from Shields. Chloe Church and Abbe Baumfalk each had two runs scored. Shields drove in two RBIs and hit a double.
Clarke 4, Knoxville 1
OSCEOLA – Clarke beat Knoxville 4-1 Monday, June 29.
A 1-1 tie after the first, Clarke added three in the bottom of the third, giving it enough to take a win.
Bolton pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run and six hits. Kaityln Halsband and Alexis Watson each drove in two runs.
East Union 15, Murray 2 (5)
MURRAY – East Union mercy-ruled Murray 15-2 in five innings Monday, June 29.
Leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, EU exploded for a nine-run inning to take a commanding lead. The Eagles wrapped it up in the next half, adding on three more runs.
Emma Decker and Zoey Black each had a two hit night. Church and Jaden Lynn drove in runs.
