According to the Osceola Police Department an ambulance and the police were called to 201 N. East St. at 3:36 p.m. Saturday after shots were fired inside the residence. Officers found a mail suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived on scene.
The victim was transported to Clarke County Hospital and later flown to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
The investigation is on-going. Osceola Police were assisted by the Iowa Division of Investigation and the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities do not believe the public to be in any danger. No names are being released at this time.
