On March 4th, a group of 14 students in Clarke’s Leadership and Development class partnered with Southern Hills Specialty Care to volunteer their time. They spent their time doing activities with the residents like playing cards, board games, manicures, and mini golf. One student brought in her certified therapy dog to visit with the residents as well. This activity allowed them to grow personally with their leadership and communication skills as they coordinated the event themselves. These students enjoyed spending time with the residents and treasuring the conversations they had that day.
