Vicki Ann Fattore, age 62 of Creston, IA, the youngest daughter of James Clinton Green and Carol Jane Gardner Green, was born on October 28, 1957 in Osceola, IA. She left this life on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Creston Specialty Care in Creston, IA.
Vicki attended Clarke Community High School and graduated with the Class of 1976. Vicki worked as a CNA after high school at Creston. She spent 20 years working as a CNA in various places as well. She also worked for many years at Freestanding Labs in the Kentucky and Indiana areas.
On May 20, 1978 Vicki was united in marriage to Clarence David Averbeck at the Salvation Army Chapel in Sedalia, MO. The couple made their home in Sedalia, MO and Osceola, IA.
In 1990 Vicki moved in with her best friend from high school- Diania Alsager (Scott) and their family in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She lived with them and was treated as part of their loving family until 2016 when she moved to Iowa for health reasons. Since 2016 she has lived at both Creston Specialty Care and Southern Hills Specialty Care.
Preceding Vicki in death were her parents, Grandparents-Irvin and Violet Green, Lloyd and Clarice Gardner, Aunt Mary Gardner, cousin Gregory White and sister in law Bonnie Green, Scott Alsager.
Survivors include her siblings: Cheryl Lynn Schlotterer of Menlo, IA., Darwin Lee Green of Hudson, IA., and Patti Ann Jimmerson (Galen) of Grand River, IA. Nieces and nephews: Jessica Lynn Greenbauer (Zach) of Reston, VA., Justin David Summers (Sarah) of Afton, IA., Byron Lee Jimmerson (Nicole) of Osceola, IA., Alisha Renae Lamb (Cassidy) of Murray, IA., Jewel Joy Hogberg (Matthew) of Kansas City, MO., Joshua Kyle Summers (Britanie) of Hot Springs, SD. Aunts and Uncles: Nancy Ellen Saddoris (Stanley) of Eden Prairie, MN., Clarice Marie White (Robert) of Osceola, IA. along with cousins and many friends.
Vicki had a special place in her heart for her great nieces and nephews as well: Carson Alanna and Tegan Jane Summers, Emma LeeAnn, Gracelynn Michelle Jimmerson and future baby boy Jimmerson, Ayden Michael, Audrina Mae and Abel Matthew Lamb, Dylan Matthew Hogberg and future baby Hogberg, Ellianah Marie, Leeland Kyle, Benjamin Michael and Everett Paul Summers.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her Kentucky family: Diania Alsager, Nick Alsager (Renee), Jaide, Chloe, Maggie and Xavier Alsager, Melinda Young, Gabriel Rhyder Young, Keaton Rylee Young and Kendal Nova Cochran.
Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday March 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev Cynthia Ripperger officiating.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, March 9, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola
