Woodburn

Lois Louise Keller, daughter of Lawrence Leo Showers and Coy Nell (Lockwood) Showers was born January 30, 1939 in Decatur County, Iowa and passed from this life Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at 80 years of age.

Lois received her education in Woodburn High School graduating in 1958. She was united in marriage to Rollie Max  Keller on April 26, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Woodburn, Iowa and Tina, Mona and Charles (Chuck) blessed this union.

Lois worked at Kayot Camper Factory in Indianola, Goodwill Industries in Des Moines and later she could be seen as a Waitress at notable places in Osceola such as the Jones Cafe, Gus & Tom’s, Quilt Patch, Pizza Hut and the Family Table. She was a member of the Woodburn United Methodist Church, Womens Fire Auxiliary in Woodburn and served as a Cub Scout leader for many years.

Lois loved her dogs and enjoyed flower gardening, being outdoors, puzzles, playing cards and games with her grandkids.

Those relatives who preceded Lois in death were her parents; husband, Rollie Max Keller; granddaughter, Melissa Sue Keller; great-grandson, Wesley Quinn Murphy;

sister, Elsie Marie Stackhouse; brothers, Lester Dean Showers, Hubert Showers, Charles Lawrence Showers, who was a twin to Hubert and passed in infancy, sister-in-law, Coleen Showers and brother-in-law, Robert Stackhouse.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Tina (David ) Murphy of Woodburn, IA; daughter, Mona Davison of Woodburn, IA; son, Charles "Chuck" (Lori) Keller of Woodburn, IA; grandchildren, Chris Keller, Charlie Davison, Woody Murphy, William Keller, Jacinda Smith, Jindra Roudybush, Tessa Cantonwine, Carly Wood, Caleb Keller, Nicole Ruth, Ashley Ruth and Zachary Ruth;  21 great-grandchildren, Mikey, Austin, Noele, Harley, Keith, Arwen, Madeline, Emma, Joshua, Jonathan, Jennalee, Dawson, Christian, Brennan, Joscelyn, Brayden, McKenna, Mia, Oaklynn, Jackson and Briana; sister, Bernice Chipp of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Hazel  Showers of Crawford, NE; step-brothers and sisters, Rose Anna, Margie, Lawrence, Raymond, Dana and Ramona as well as other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday February 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chuck DeVos officiating.

The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.

In keeping with her wishes, Lois was cremated and interment of her cremains will be in the Woodburn Cemetery, Woodburn, Iowa
