8-man all-district 6 teams announced

The 8-man all-district 6 teams were announced earlier this week with Murray receiving honors across the first team offense and both the first and second team defenses.

Cole Lecy was selected to the all-district first-team offense as an offensive lineman.

Lecy was part of a Murray team which amassed 1,654 total yards. The team scored 23 touchdowns, finishing 3-6 overall. While being selected as an offensive lineman, Lecy posted 45 tackles with 10 stops for a loss on defense. He had five solo sacks.

Rilee Werner was selected as first team all-district as a defensive lineman.

Werner had 37 tackles with 15 coming for a loss. Of his tackles for a loss, four were sacks. Werner also had three fumble recoveries.

Chance Lecy received the second team all-district selection on defense, getting picked as a linebacker.

Chance Lecy had three fumble recoveries, one going for a 74-yard score, and 58 tackles. He had one tackle for a loss which counted as a sack.

Getting honorable mentions for all-district was Zack Belden.

Belden passed for 525 yards with 10 passing scores and nine interceptions. He was the team’s third leading rusher with 191 yards and three scores.
