Central Decatur 44, Lynville-Sully 14
LEON – Central Decatur picked up its second straight win of the season Friday night with a 44-14 win over Lynville-Sully.
The Cardinals’ Cole Pedersen amassed 330 yards rushing on 15 attempts. He had six scores on 22 yards per carry.
The Cardinals went 7 of 13 on passing with Matthew Boothe completing 50 percent of his passing attempts with 78 yards passing. Pedersen had 31 yards passing and Gunnar Smith had 8.
Dakota Reed had two catches for 93 yards, scoring on a 65-yard pass from Boothe, and had four tackles with three being for a loss.
Devin Adams had seven tackles and Colton Barnes had 6 1/2 tackles. Three of Barnes’ tackles went for a loss with one being for a sack.
Matthew Boothe and Haden Leymaster intercepted passes on Lynnville-Sully’s quaterbacks, both being returned for considerable yardage. Boothe’s return went 17 yards and Leymaster’s interception went 45 yards.
Interstate 35 49, Colfax-Mingo 14
TRURO – Interstate 35 beat Colfax-Mingo Friday night 49-14.
Joey Bregar completed 6 passes on 10 attempts, passing for 62 yards with two interceptions. Bregar had 101 yards rushing with one score on 10 attempts.
Despite the 100-yard rushing daym Jack Smith led the Roadrunners in rushing with 154 yards and two scores, including a 75-yard score.
Carter Bussanmas had two scores on 74 yards rushing and Logan Cassady had a score with one score. The Roadrunners scored all their touchdowns by way of the run.
Bregar had 12 tackles, three for a loss. Caleb Hobart and Sam Vonnahme had 5 1/2 tackles each with Vonnahme tallying a sack.
