The votes are in

The unofficial totals of the primary elections came in at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday. In Clarke County, the Republican candidate for the County Board of Supervisors District 1 is Dean Robins with 275 votes and the Democratic candidate for the County Board of Supervisors District 1 is Scott Busick with 78 votes.

“I’m just anxious for the results,” said Robins shortly after the polls closed Tuesday.

The Clarke County Attorney Republican candidate is Adam Ramsey with 524 votes and the Democratic candidate is Michelle Murphy Rivera with 328 votes.

The Clarke County Treasurer Republican candidate is Debbie Lynn with 616 votes and she is running unopposed.

The Clarke County Recorder Democratic candidate is Peggy Cummings with 351 votes and she is running unopposed.

Governor Kim Reynolds earned 605 Clarke County votes in her race. Democratic candidate Fred Hubbell led the way among Democrats with 268 votes in Clarke County.

Polls closed at 9 p.m. Tuesday and many people were working to get results back to the Clarke County Courthouse in an accurate and timely manner.

“We’ve got great workers,” said Clarke County Auditor Janice White.
