Girls bowling place 5th

The Clarke girls bowling team placed fifth at the Class 1A state bowling tournament last Thursday with a team score of 2,555.

Individually, junior Jones-Clark placed 10th with a total score of 598 (172, 223, 203), just three pins shy of eighth-place finisher Payton Raisbeck of Louisa-Muscatine and 68 points behind winner Keely Williams of Louisa-Muscatine.

Seniors Tipton and Nash picked up 28th and 29th places respectively with scores of 494 (179, 188, 127) and 463 (113, 167, 183).
