According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Dawn Marie Jones, 33, of Nodaway, was driving a 2011 Hyundai when she struck a deer that was crossing the road.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to Jones’ vehicle.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, the front center of a 2000 Chevy driven by Chris Merle Stansbery, 55, of Chariton struck a horse owned by Candace Cummings and Jaime Shaw in the 2800 block of Highway 34. The horse died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Estimated damage was $100 to Stansbery’s vehicle.
