Diane Ione Berry, 77 of Murray, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at her home in Murray, Iowa.  Diane was born October 19, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to William  Abbott and Violet (Dare ) Abbott.

Diane was united in marriage to William Berry on January 6, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa.  To this union four children were born, Wally, Bob, Becky and Sandy.

Diane was a quiet gentle soul who loved being a stay at home mom, taking care of family and attending their sporting events.  She was overjoyed when grandchildren came along.  She had a special place in her heart for her grandma, Beulah Hinkel.

Diane enjoyed crocheting, cooking, collecting dolls, collecting angels and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Diane in death were her parents, William and Violet Abbott, granddaughter, Tega Berry, grandmother, Beulah Hinkel, and aunt, Virginia Dare.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory; husband, William Berry of Murray, IA, son, Wally Berry of IA, son, Bob Berry of MO, daughter, Becky (John) Gonseth of Murray, IA, daughter, Sandy (Brian) McConnell of Savannah, MO, grandchildren, Whylie McIntire, Brooke Hoffman, Brennen McConnell, Brianna McConnell, Madison Gonseth, and Brandon Berry, brother John (Kathy) Abbott of Conway, AR, sister Carol (Stan) Becvar of Nevada, IA, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola at 11:00 AM - Thursday - November 12, 2020 with Chaplin Mike Albert from EveryStep Hospice officiating.

Family will receive friends prior to the services on Thursday from 10 am until 11 am.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines.  The use of face coverings at either event are REQUIRED. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at www.kalefuneralhome.com on Diane's tribute wall beginning at 11 am on Thursday.

Graveside services will be in the Center Grove Cemetery near Cambridge, Iowa at 3:00 PM on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided later.
