Woodburn

Toni Jane Baumfalk, daughter of Gerald Glenn Wright and Susan Kaye (Smith) Wright was born August 1, 1972 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, August 29, 2020 at MercyOne Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 48 years of age.

Toni lived in Woodburn until the age of 11 when her family moved to Osceola.  She attended Clarke Community Schools and graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1990.  She went on to SWCC and received an Associates Degree in business management.  Toni was united in marriage to Darrin Russell  Baumfalk on December 1, 1995 at Osceola and a daughter Kindra, blessed this union.  Toni worked in the insurance claims department for many years.

Toni was a very kind and loving person.  Her family was her greatest joy and she would do anything for her family and friends.  She loved being outdoors with family and was always smiling and enjoyed watching them be themselves and have fun.  Toni was a big supporter of the youth groups and both the Christ’sWay Church and the E Free Churches in Osceola where she attended.  She was very active in daughter Kindra’s education, helping at school and her and Darrin coached soccer teams when she was young.  Toni enjoyed country music and enjoyed dancing with Darrin.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, was an avid reader and was a whiz with numbers and enjoyed working SUDOKU puzzles.  She had a huge heart and was loved and will be missed by many.

Those relatives who preceded Toni in death were her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norris and Sylvia Baumfalk.

Toni leaves to cherish her memory; husband Darrin Russell Baumfalk of Woodburn, IA, daughter, Kindra (Jacob) Lowry of Afton, IA, grandson, Remington Russell Lowry of Afton, IA, parents, Gerald and Susan Wright of Woodburn, IA, brother, Craig (Tammy) Wright of Osceola, IA, brother, Matthew James Wright of Urbandale, IA, a host of nieces & nephews, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Thursday September 3, 2020 at 11:00 am with Jeff Blettner officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday with family greeting friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines.  The use of face coverings are required.  If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at www.kalefuneralhome.com on Toni's tribute wall beginning at 11:00 am, Thursday.

Interment will follow cremation in the Ottawa Cemetery.
