Three Cardinals make all Pride of Iowa teams

Central Decatur put three players on the Pride of Iowa’s first-team, second-team and honorable mention team for the 2019-20 season.

Cole Pedersen, Michel Evertsen and Matthew Boothe were the three Cardinals selected.

First team

Pedersen averaged 15.6 points per game, fourth in the conference, and scored 358 points. Pedersen shot 61.2% from the field, second in the conference.

He recorded 53 blocks, first in the conference. Pedersen also grabbed 153 rebounds, enough for 10th in the conference.

Second team

Evertsen averaged 14.3 points per game, 10th in the conference. Evertsen shot 41.2% from the 3-point line, putting him at third in the conference with more than 50 attempts.

He was third in the conference with 109 assists and fourth in the conference with 54 steals. Evertsen also grabbed 137 rebounds.

Honorable mention

Boothe scored 227 points for the Cardinals. Boothe shot 75.6% from the free-throw line and 49.7% from the field. He also assisted on 62 scores, enough for 11th in the conference.

Boothe also grabbed 85 rebounds.
