No citations were issued after an accident at 2:19 p.m. Jan. 3 at 2400 College Dr.

According to an Osceola Police report, Vicky Lee Luce, 25, of Osceola, driving a 2010 GMC north through an aisle of the Wal-Mart parking lot was struck by Irene Virtie McCoy, 55, of New Virginia, driving a 2011 Chevy truck who was backing out of a parking stall.

Estimated damage was $2,500 to Luce’s vehicle and $1,000 to McCoy’s vehicle.

Shea Lynn Woollums, 37, of Kellerton was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance after an accident 9:15 p.m. Jan. 8 at 105 Ariel Cr.

According to an Osceola Police report, Woolums, driving a 1996 Chevy, hit a parked 2000 Peterbuilt Semi along the curb of the BP gas station parking lot. Woollums told officers the brakes in the vehicle went out.

Woollums had no proof of insurance.

Estimated damage was $500 to the Peterbuilt Semi and $500 to Woollums’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:30 p.m. Jan. 9 on South Fillmore Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Derek Richard Gillickson, 46, of Minnesota driving a 2012 International Semi struck a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 34 and South Fillmore Street.

The Iowa DOT put up a temporary stop sign in place of the one knocked down by Gillickson’s vehicle.

Estimated damage was $300 to the stop sign.

No citations were issued after an accident 1:20 p.m. Jan. 10 on West McLane Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Michael Than Spalding, 39, of Osceola driving a 2013 Ford truck west on McLane Street struck Nelson Jerome Armbrester Jr., 40, of Humeston driving a 2001 Chevy after Arbrester failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of McLane Street and South Lincoln Street. Spalding pulled into the Hy-Vee parking lot and contacted law enforcement, Armbrester’s vehicle was later located abandoned at East Lake Park. Arbrester was found and barred.

Estimated damage was $5,500 to Spalding’s vehicle and $5,000 to Armbrester’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 6 p.m. Saturday on West Clay Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Steven Charles Siefkas, 59, of Osceola driving a 2004 Honda was westbound on Clay Street when a deer entered the roadway from the ditch and ran into the side of Siefkas’ vehicle.

Estimated damage was $2,500 to Siefkas’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 7:50 p.m. Sunday on West Clay Street near the Northbound Interstate 35 entrance ramp.

According to an Osceola Police Report, Heidi Lynn Jennett, 27, of Truro driving a 2007 Ford attempted to turn onto the Interstate 35 ramp but lost control on the snow covered road and left the roadway, striking a sign post.

Estimated damage was $4,000 to Jennett’s vehicle and $500 for the sign post.
