Oscar Castro Valentin, 29, of Des Moines was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 12:30 a.m. Sept. 28.

Valentin was arraigned and released on bond from Clarke County Jail.

Alysha Marie Hoskins, 24, of Osceola was charged with possession of a controlled substance 2:30 a.m. Oct. 2.

Hoskins was arraigned and released on bond from Clarke County Jail.

Quinton Lane Brown, 20, of Osceola was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license and failure to use a safety belt 10:40 p.m. Sept. 26.

Brown was arraigned and released by the courts.

Kelly Gene Simmerman of Murray reported two large bales of grass hay were taken from his lot between Sept. 25 and 29.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff's report, Simmerman noticed tractor tracts in the area. The incident is being investigated by Clarke County Sheriff's Office.

Loss estimate is $200.

Luke Paxson of Mount Ayr reported a Tide detergent bottle was thrown into the windshield of a semitrailer he was driving 3:35 p.m. Sept. 26 on Highway 34.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff's report, the bottle was thrown from a red, flatbed Ford with no bumper driven east on Highway 34. The bottle shattered the semitrailer's windshield, which caused glass to go into Paxson's face and detergent all over the cab of the semitrailer. Paxson couldn't identify the driver of the vehicle.

The incident is being investigated by Clarke County Sheriff's Office.
