Ruth “Bea” Berniece Evans, daughter of Joseph Andrew Adamson and Eula Poush Adamson was born July 23, 1926 in Libertyville, Illinois and passed from this life Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 92 years of age.

Bea graduated from Osceola High School with the class of 1944. She married Robert Melvin Evans on November 7, 1948 in Osceola, Iowa, and two daughters blessed this union; Marti Jo and Janice Lee.

Bea worked as a bookkeeper in several offices in Osceola, and probably her most enjoyable job, was working at North Elementary School. She was a member of the Clarke County Hospital Auxiliary and the Osceola United Methodist Church.

Bea enjoyed time with her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, playing golf, playing bridge and fishing. Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Those relatives who preceded Bea in death were her parents, Joseph and Eula Adamson, grandson, Matthew Alan Lewis, brother, Joseph “Bill” Adamson, sister and brother-in-law, Betty and G. F. Hoffman, and sister-in-law, Lois Adamson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don & Phyllis Lynn, brother-in-law, Chuck Evans.

Bea leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband of 70 years, Robert “Bob” M. Evans of Osceola, IA, daughter, Marti Jo (John) Hayslette of Okemos, MI, daughter, Janice Lee (Terry) Lewis of Osceola, IA, grandchildren, Megan Hayslette of Okemos, MI, Shane (Carla) Alexander of Jackson, TN; great grandchildren, Chase Alexander of Murfreesboro, TN, Levi Alexander of Des Moines, IA, and Alayna Hayslette of Okemos, MI; brother, Gerald “Shorty” Adamson of Osceola, IA; sister, Pat (Rod) Hansen of Blair, NE; sister-in-law, Glayne Adamson of Osceola, IA; sister-in-law, Barb Wood of West Branch, IA, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation was entrusted to Kale Funeral Home.

Memorial graveside services will be 11:00 AM - Saturday - October 12, 2019 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola, Iowa with Pastor Shane Simpson officiating
