Alan John Siefken, son of John Carl Siefken and Alfrieda Luella (Korf) Siefken, was born March 8, 1942, in Fort Dodge and passed from this life June 22, 2009, near his home in Osceola at 67 years of age.

Charles Thomas Hart, son of Herman “Ren” Hart and Ethel Mae Hart, was born Jan. 31, 1919, in Osceola, and passed from this life June 25, 2009, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola at 90 years of age.

Deloris Dowler-Ries died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. 

Edith (Carson) Thornton, at the age of 95, passed from this life on Dec. 23, 2008, at Winterset North Care Center. Edith was born on Jan. 21, 1913, to Frank and Elizabeth (Portersfield) Carson in Woodburn.

Doris Marie Brim, daughter of Andrew M. Ewoldsen and Agnes V. (Perdue) Ewoldsen, was born on Sept. 17, 1919, in rural Clarke County outside of Woodburn and passed away May 31, 2009, at the age of 89 in Raymore, Mo.

Graveside services for Marian Lois Wick, 92, Osceola, will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Murray Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. that evening.

Services for Deloris Dowler-Ries, 75, St. Charles, will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with interment in the St. Charles Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
