Care Initiatives Hospice will offer a three-part series for family members and caregivers to aid in understanding dementia. The series will be presented by Susan Finehout, Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse at Homestead Assisted Living & Memory Care in Creston. The sessions will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
The first session is August 22 and will cover types of dementia and what to expect. September 19 is the date for the second session and is entitled “Caring for Others – Caring for Yourself.” The final session, “Hospice Support: When is it Time?” is scheduled for October 17.
