Peace posters

Each year the Osceola Lions Club sponsors the “Lions International Peace Poster” contest. This is a contest that encouraged children to creatively express what peace means to them and allows them to share their unique image of peace in a large poster form with others. This year’s theme is “Kindness Matters” and participants are members of Sarah Flaherty’s sixth grade art class at Clarke Elementary. Three finalists have been chosen to receive cash awards. The first place poster has been entered into District compitition and all entries are now on display at Osceola Cision Center. Pictured, from left, are third place winner Amy Morales, first place winner Rachel Jaurgue and second place winner Alyssa Kent.
