The United States was originally a Federation of states. The states had their own authority and were mostly independent of the federal government. This was to keep the federal government from becoming a tyrant or dictatorship.
How could this have been overcome? It happened mostly by international treaties. Most of the international treaties have come through the United Nations. All international treaties override the constitution of the nations. The first test case in the U.S. was through the Migratory Bird Act. This also came in the early nineteen hundreds. Four men were arrested in Georgia for shooting birds that were listed in the treaty and yet not illegal according to the law of the state. The federal government won and so a precedent was established.
Now we see all kinds of international treaties coming from the world order basically from the United Nations. One in our time, is the Year of the Child. An international treaty brought forth under the guise of protecting children. I would like to quote an article by Dr. Mary Jo Bane, U.S. dept. of Health and Human Services, of the Clinton Administration. “If we want to talk about equality of opportunity for children, then the fact that children are raised in families means there’s no equality... In order to raise children with equality, we must take them away from families and communally raise them.”
Do we know what time we are in? We’re seeing a steady erosion of our sovereignty and personal freedom.
We can look at some of the men in our government and where they were educated. We have several that studied at Oxford University in England through the Rhodes scholarship program. This program was established by or because of Cecil Rhodes who was known as a “diamond king” and a staunch socialist and very wealthy. It would seem that to make this scholarship available to Americans it may be an attempt to infiltrate our government and turn it into a part of the socialist system or global government.
Out of Oxford has come the communist manifesto that has spread over many parts of the world. A strong socialist teaching that exemplifies the world system and world control. Some of the worst governments and dictators have come out of this educational system.
We must be extremely aware of what is going on around us. We need to speak out to preserve the freedom we have here in America. All of these things are only a small part of what is happening around us. Even though there is much more that I haven’t covered, hopefully it will cause those who care to begin to take notice and to contact our representatives, to make a stand.
As Christians, we can change the course of our nation. Following the principles that are set forth in the Bible and appealing to the Lord Jesus Christ we can make a difference. Jesus is still in charge, as I believe that the Lord still has His name on this nation, He will hear the cries of His people.
“I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kinds and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Jehovah God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth,” (I Timothy 2:1-4).
Do we know what time it is? It is time to seek the Lord.
