4 Lady Mustangs named all-Bluegrass West division

Zoie Lecy and Breianna Klein earned distinction as POI West first team all-conference performers per a recent release of votes by the conference’s coaches.

Lecy was named with unanimous distinction after a senior season in which she led the Lady Mustangs with 161 kills and a .974 serve efficiency, missing just five of her 196 serves. Lecy also had 106 digs and tied for the team lead with 17 blocks.

Klein’s versatility earned her a first team selection. The junior led Murray with 127 digs, a team-high 41 aces and also added 92 kills.

Freshman Twila Barber was the primary setter for Murray and set up Lady Mustangs hitters with 160 assists. She tallied 66 digs, 31 kills, a .947 serving efficiency with 38 aces and tied for the team lead with 17 blocks.

Senior Becca Decker rounded out Murray’s selections by being picked honorable mention. Decker had a .930 serving efficiency, 85 assists and 59 digs.
