GRAND RIVER — May events are planned for Grand River. All events will be at Grand River Community Center.
• May 23 — Pancake breakfast from 7 – 10 a.m. There will be pancakes, French toast, fruit, sausage, ham and juice. It is a free-will offering.
• May 24 — Alumni dinner at noon.
• May 25 — There will be a Memorial Day ceremony at the Grand River Cemetery Monday, May 25, starting at 11 a.m. The ceremony will include introductory remarks, invocation, song, speech by a local Iraqi war veteran, firing of the volley, Taps and benediction.
Lunch will be served at the Grand River Community Center immediately following the cemetery ceremony. All are invited to the ceremony and lunch.
In the event of inclement weather, the entire ceremony will be held at Grand River Community Center.
