Published: Wednesday, July 2, 2014 9:55 a.m. CST

Clarke County Development Corporation is accepting applications for the upcoming Leadership Academy from now until July 18. If interested, contact us and we will supply you with an application form.

Clarke County Leadership Academy is a program designed to be a catalyst for ensuring the constant development and injection of new leadership into Clarke County. The academy will give you a solid base to spring forward as a leader in our community. You will enhance your personal leadership skills and facilitate team building and networking with other up-and-coming leaders.

This year-long program will immerse you in the workings of government and policy makers at the local county and state levels. The Leadership Academy will feature elected officials sharing their experiences along with representatives of the professional, academic and business community.

Your completed application will be screened by a selection committee. A select number of candidates will be chosen to complete the leadership program.

As a candidate, you will commit to 10 half-day sessions beginning this September and ending in May 2015. When you have completed the course you will be invited to attend alumni working events, continuing education opportunities and valuable leadership functions.

Clarke County Development Corporation sponsors the Leadership Academy. It has been developed by a team of volunteers who share a common vision of handing off the reigns of leadership as a way of insuring the continued growth and development of our community. Clarke County Development Corporation underwrites the tuition cost for the year-long experience.
