MURRAY — The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) and local soil and water conservation districts (SWCD) offered the 2014 Conservation Poster contest.

This year’s poster contest theme was “Dig Deeper-Mysteries in the Soil.”

Nine Murray students participated by submitting their posters.

The two winning posters will be sent on to the district conservation office for regional judging.

April 27 though May 2 is Conservation Week.

A complex mix of minerals, air and water, soil also teems with countless micro-organisms, and the decaying remains of once-living things. Soil is made of life and soil makes life.
