Interstate 35 finished third in the boys team standings and fourth in the girls team standings at the Clarke Invitational on Oct. 1.
Central Decatur placed fourth in the boys race, while Clarke finished sixth with 145 points.
Clarke freshman Ian Showers paced the Indians on the home course, finishing seventh with a time of 19:10 for the 5K course. Albia's Colton Dorpinghaus ran away with the individual title, running 17:55.
Morgan Nelson was the top finisher for Interstate 35. Nelson finished 17th in 20:14. Matt Marvin placed 30th in 22:00 to lead Central Decatur.
On the girls side, Interstate 35's Holly McKinney finished third overall, running 16:00 for the 4K course. Cheyenne Hiatt and Jordan Yawn also finished in the top 15 for the Roadrunners.
Trista Waddell paced Central Decatur in 16th place with a time of 18:04.
Tiffany McKnight and Lindsay Mumaw ran 18th and 19th, respectively, for the Lady Indians. McKnight clocked a time of 18:29, while Mumaw ran 18:47.
