December 16, 1920 - June 10, 2013
Virginia Christine Proudfoot passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2013, at approximately 9:00 PM. She would have appreciated that her family was with her.
She was a war bride, a war widow, a single mother and a working mother, a teacher and a musician. She supported and promoted education her entire adult life. For several years, she taught in Osceola public schools and was the leader of the Father Singers. She observed and probably had opinions on every significant historical event from the Great Depression to the War on Terror. She lived longer than the entire span of the Soviet Union.
She is survived by her husband, Max Proudfoot, and five of her six sons.
